flag Rare 2,500-year-old Scottish textile goes on public display for the first time.

A rare 2,500-year-old Iron Age textile fragment, known as the Oakbank Textile, has gone on public display for the first time at the Scottish Crannog Centre's museum. Discovered in Loch Tay in 1979, the textile was preserved by silt and has been dated between 480 and 390 BC. It underwent a conservation process funded by Museums Galleries Scotland and is now housed in a climate-controlled cabinet. The discovery offers valuable insights into ancient Scottish textile heritage.
