Irish politicians form group to combat cardiovascular disease, aiming to save lives and improve patient support.

Several Irish TDs from different counties have formed a group to push for a new national policy on cardiovascular disease (CVD), which kills almost 30% of people in Ireland. This Oireachtas Heart and Stroke group, supported by the Irish Heart Foundation, aims to raise awareness, improve high blood pressure treatment, and increase investment in cardiac rehabilitation. The group stresses the need for a comprehensive policy to prevent unnecessary deaths and better support for patients.
