This comes after the number of foreign offenders awaiting deportation rose to 19,244 by the end of 2024, despite 3,594 being deported in Labour's first nine months in office, a 16% increase from the previous year. The move follows Home Office statisticians overhauling their systems after poor data quality prevented previous data releases.
