Tulsa second-graders record original songs about future messages at historic studio, set to perform on Children's Day.
Over 50 second-grade students from Tulsa Public Schools are recording original songs at the historic Church Studio in Tulsa, funded by the Darby Foundation.
Led by Symon Hajjar from Hot Toast Music Company, the students spent seven months composing melodies and lyrics around the theme "What message do you want to send to your future self?"
They will record their songs at the studio and perform them at the Philbrook Museum of Art on Children's Day, May 3.
