Two people died and one was injured when a car hit a truck stopped on I-35 shoulder in Texas.

On April 19, a fatal accident occurred on Interstate 35 in Troy, Texas, when a Dodge Ram pickup, stopped on the shoulder for a flat tire, was struck by a Kia Optima. Hector Bococ, 35, and Maria Maquin, 34, were killed, while their child was injured but stable. The incident is under investigation. In a separate event, a semi-truck driver with a defective tire caused a multi-truck crash in Reeves County, resulting in one fatality and minor injuries.
