Pedestrian killed in Hawaii hit-and-run; helper involved in subsequent crash, one hospitalized.

A 33-year-old pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run incident on Kahekili Highway in Kaneohe, Hawaii, early Sunday morning. After the initial hit, a 52-year-old woman stopped to help but was then involved in a multi-vehicle collision. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, and a 32-year-old woman was hospitalized in serious condition. This incident marks the 24th traffic fatality on Oahu this year. The Honolulu Police Department is investigating and seeking witnesses.
