Yasin Abdi found guilty of first-degree murder for shooting Marlon White Eyes in Sioux City.

A Woodbury County jury found Yasin Abdi, 22, guilty of first-degree murder for the fatal shooting of Marlon White Eyes, 36, in Sioux City on June 26, 2023. Abdi will face a mandatory life sentence without parole. The jury deliberated for ten hours before reaching a verdict. White Eyes was shot four times as he tried to flee during a confrontation that involved Abdi and others near an apartment building.
