In western Sudan, paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have killed 56 civilians in Umm Kadada city, according to volunteer groups.
The RSF is accused of ethnic executions, burning homes, and looting properties.
The ongoing conflict between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the RSF, which began in April 2023, has now claimed over 29,600 lives and displaced 13 million people, pushing parts of Sudan into famine and dividing the country into territories controlled by warlords.
The UN reports that over 300 civilians, including 10 humanitarian workers, were killed in recent violence in North Darfur's displacement camps and El Fasher.
