Lithuanian athlete Mykolas Alekna, 22, broke his own world record in the discus twice at the Oklahoma Throws Series World Invitational on April 13.
His throws of 247 feet, 9 inches (75.56 meters) and 245 feet, 7 inches (74.89 meters) surpassed his previous record set last year.
Alekna, a star for the Cal Bears, also won silver at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
His father, Virgilijus, is a two-time Olympic champion in the discus.
