P.E.I. introduces new act to ease trade and labor mobility among provinces, following Nova Scotia’s lead.

Prince Edward Island (P.E.I.) has introduced the Interprovincial Trade and Mobility Act, mimicking Nova Scotia’s legislation, to ease trade barriers and improve labour mobility among Canadian provinces. The act will recognize goods standards and professional licenses from other provinces, with Nova Scotia being the first to reciprocate. Premier Rob Lantz aims to create a unified national economy.
