Former Mexican drug lord "Don Neto" released after 40 years for DEA agent's murder.
Ernesto "Don Neto" Fonseca Carrillo, a 94-year-old Mexican drug lord and co-founder of the Guadalajara Cartel, has been released after serving a 40-year sentence for the 1985 kidnapping, torture, and murder of DEA agent Enrique "Kiki" Camarena.
Fonseca had been under home confinement since 2016.
It remains unclear if the U.S. will seek his extradition.
