Shakeil Thibou found guilty of murdering Cher Maximen during Notting Hill Carnival chaos.

A 20-year-old man, Shakeil Thibou, was found guilty of murdering 32-year-old Cher Maximen during the Notting Hill Carnival's family day last August. Thibou stabbed Maximen in the groin while her three-year-old daughter was nearby. He was also convicted of attempting to harm another man and possessing an offensive weapon. His brother, Sheldon Thibou, was found guilty of violent disorder and assaulting a police officer, while their third brother, Shaeim Thibou, was convicted of assaulting the same officer. Maximen's family thanked the jury and called for improved safety at the carnival.
