Lakeland Dairies, a cross-border Irish dairy cooperative, reported a profitable 2024 with earnings of £18m, up from losses in 2023. The company processed 2 billion liters of milk from 3,200 farms, issuing €998 million in milk payments to farmers. Despite challenges like US tariffs and volatile markets, the co-op's revenue rose to €1.75 billion, and it acquired the Belgian business De Brandt. However, due to trade uncertainties, Lakeland has paused a €100m investment plan.
