Google announced it will allow companies to run its Gemini AI models in their own data centers starting in Q3, enhancing privacy and control. This move, part of Google Distributed Cloud, integrates Nvidia's Blackwell GPU systems for secure AI capabilities. Google also launched the AI Agent Development Kit, 7th-gen TPUs, and Cloud Wide Area Network at its Cloud Next event. Competitors like Anthropic and OpenAI have not offered similar on-premises access due to control concerns.
