Former Santa Maria resident Jamie Cid has been charged with murder for the March 9, 2021, stabbing death of Raymond Earl Smith. Cid, who has two prior felony convictions under California's three-strikes law, pleaded not guilty and is being held on $1 million bail. He is scheduled to appear in court again on April 14.
