Russia's "chessboard killer," Alexander Pichushkin, who is serving a life sentence for 48 murders, is ready to confess to 11 more killings. Known for targeting homeless people, alcoholics, and the elderly in Moscow, Pichushkin earned his nickname by aiming to place a coin on every square of a chessboard for each victim. If convicted of these additional murders, he would become Russia's second most prolific serial killer, behind Mikhail Popkov, who was convicted of 78 murders.
