The 14-year-old son of former New York Yankees player Brett Gardner, Miller Gardner, died from carbon monoxide poisoning while on vacation with his family in Costa Rica. Authorities found a lethal 64% carboxyhemoglobin saturation in Miller’s blood. The incident occurred at a hotel on Manuel Antonio beach, where high levels of carbon monoxide were detected. The cause of contamination is still under investigation.
