Tate Modern receives Joan Mitchell's large painting 'Iva' and a multimillion-dollar endowment from Miami philanthropists.

Tate Modern received a major donation of Joan Mitchell's painting 'Iva' from Miami philanthropists Jorge and Darlene Pérez. The six-meter triptych is now on display next to Mark Rothko's Seagram Murals. The Pérezes also funded a multimillion-dollar endowment to support Tate's curatorial research and plan to donate more African art pieces. This donation strengthens Tate's commitment to diversifying its collection.
