India develops a $750M Guwahati Ring Road project to ease congestion and boost connectivity.
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is developing a 121-km Guwahati Ring Road project costing Rs 5,729 crore through a public-private partnership with Dineshchandra R Agrawal Infracon.
The project, spanning 30 years with a 4-year construction period, includes a 56-km bypass, an 8-km road widening, and a 58-km road improvement, along with a 3-km bridge over the Brahmaputra.
It aims to decongest Guwahati and improve connectivity in northeastern India.
The Assam government will cover half the land cost and contribute to GST.
