Eurozone producer prices saw a sharp rise to 3.0% in February, driven by surging energy costs.
Eurozone producer price inflation surged to 3.0% in February, up from 1.7% in January, mainly due to a significant rise in energy prices, which jumped 7.4% annually. Despite this increase, monthly producer prices only grew 0.2%, lower than expected. Prices for intermediate goods also rose faster, while growth for capital and durable consumer goods slowed.
