Highway 97 crash in Oregon kills Buick driver; trucker uninjured as icy roads and speed cited.

A fatal crash on Highway 97 in Klamath County, Oregon, on March 31, involved a Buick LeSabre driven by Leif Taylor Celusta, 34, who lost control and collided with a southbound Kenworth truck driven by Robert Emil Mewes, 58. Celusta died at the scene, while Mewes was uninjured. Oregon State Police, Crescent Fire, and ODOT assisted in the investigation, which found speed and icy road conditions as primary causes. The highway was closed for about two hours.
