Chinese automaker Chery launched its premium SUV brand Jaecoo in Australia, with the J7 model starting at $34,990. The plug-in hybrid version offers a 90km electric range and costs $47,990. Jaecoo aims to compete with brands like Toyota and BYD. Chery plans to open 30 to 40 dealerships by May and offer an eight-year unlimited-kilometre warranty. The company also plans to launch a luxury EV brand soon.
