Australia's Lake Conjola Fire Station upgraded for $1.56M to boost emergency response after 2020 bushfires.
The Lake Conjola Fire Station in Australia's Shoalhaven region has completed a $1.56 million upgrade, funded by the Australian and NSW governments, to improve emergency response capabilities after the devastating Currowan bushfire five years ago.
The improvements include an extended station, three new truck bays, a multi-purpose room, an office, and a kitchen.
Over $20 million in Bushfire Local Economic Recovery (BLER) funding has been allocated to the region to address the fire's impact and prepare for future disasters.
A $3.48 million fire station in Manyana is also under construction.
