Irish healthcare unions suspend strike after 22-hour talks with HSE on workforce issues.
Healthcare unions in Ireland, including the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation, Forsa, Connect, Unite, and the Medical Laboratory Scientists Association, have suspended their planned work-to-rule action.
The decision follows 22 hours of negotiations at the Workplace Relations Commission with the Health Service Executive (HSE) over proposals to improve recruitment and workforce planning.
The unions will now ballot their members on the new proposals.
