Irish court rejects appeal from 67-year-old ex-IRA member wanted for 1980 murder in Northern Ireland.
The Supreme Court of Ireland has denied an appeal from 67-year-old James Donegan, who is wanted in Northern Ireland for the murder of a member of the Ulster Defence Regiment over 45 years ago.
Donegan, who was arrested at Dublin Airport last June, is also accused of possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life and belonging to the Irish Republican Army.
He claimed he was a "soldier at war" and described the victim as a "legitimate target."
