Car production in the UK fell for the 12th straight month in February, down 11.6% to 82,178 units. The decline affected various vehicle types and was attributed to model changes and plant restructuring. The EU remains the top market for UK car exports, followed by the US and China. Despite a 5.6% drop in production of electric and hybrid cars, their share rose to 39.6%. The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders criticized the Chancellor's spring statement for lacking support for the industry and consumers.
