Mount Robson Provincial Park's Berg Lake Trail, closed since 2021 due to flooding, reopens June 26.
Mount Robson Provincial Park in British Columbia will fully reopen its Berg Lake Trail on June 26, nearly four years after it was closed due to flooding.
The trail, popular with around 20,000 hikers annually, was destroyed when record heat caused rapid ice melt and flooding.
Reservations for the seven backcountry campgrounds will be available starting April 2, with a total restoration cost of about $5 million.
The reopening is expected to boost the local economy.
