Former Iowa Freshman of the Year Owen Freeman transfers to Creighton after coach's dismissal and injury.

Owen Freeman, a 6-foot-10 forward who averaged 16.7 points and 6.7 rebounds per game at Iowa, has transferred to Creighton. Freeman was named Big Ten Freshman of the Year and rated the top center in the transfer portal. His move follows head coach Fran McCaffery's dismissal and a season-ending hand injury. At Creighton, Freeman will fill a defensive role left by Ryan Kalkbrenner.
