Worker trapped under fallen dumbwaiter in Manhattan freed by rescuers; investigation underway.

A 32-year-old worker was trapped under a fallen dumbwaiter at a Manhattan building on Tuesday around 12:30 p.m. FDNY rescuers freed him by breaching a wall, and despite multiple injuries, he was conscious and alert. The man was taken to a nearby hospital, and his condition is currently unknown. The New York City Department of Buildings is investigating the incident.
