Wisconsin seeks volunteers to track frog and toad populations, aiding amphibian conservation.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is recruiting volunteers for its Frog and Toad Survey, a 40-year-old project tracking the health and trends of 12 frog and toad species. Known as "froggers," volunteers help document breeding calls and have spent over 10,500 nights surveying 103,400 sites, noting increases in American bullfrogs and Blanchard's cricket frogs. The survey supports the state's amphibian conservation efforts.
