Track meet moved to Friday due to weather; new coach hired in Bettendorf School District.

The College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University Track and Field meet, originally set for Saturday, has been moved to Friday at 2:00 PM due to expected rain and cooler weather. Known as "The Optimistic Invitational," the event will take place at St. John's Clemens Stadium with field events beginning at 2:30 PM. This marks the start of the outdoor track and field season. Additionally, the Bettendorf School District has announced staff changes, including the hiring of Ben McCollum as the new head basketball coach, amidst maintenance issues affecting access to subscription accounts and the E-edition.
