Supreme Court of India declines urgent hearing in case of burnt cash found at Delhi judge's home.

The Supreme Court of India refused an urgent hearing of a plea demanding the Delhi Police file an FIR over the alleged discovery of burnt cash at the official residence of Delhi High Court judge Yashwant Varma. Lawyer Mathews J Nedumpara argued the case was a matter of public interest, but Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna stated it would be addressed in due course. Justice Varma denies any involvement with the cash.
