St. Lawrence County's Director of Emergency Services resigns; deputy takes interim charge.

Matt Denner, the St. Lawrence County Director of Emergency Services, has resigned, though the reason is undisclosed. Deputy Director Rick Rusaw will oversee the department until a replacement is found. The office is working on moving operations back from a backup dispatch center to a new Public Safety Answering Point in Canton. The new director will manage emergency communication networks and work with local rescue agencies.
