Shreveport police are searching for a convicted sex offender linked to the rape of a 14-year-old girl.

The Shreveport Police Department is searching for Derrick L. Boyd, a 43-year-old convicted sex offender, in connection with the rape of a 14-year-old girl. Boyd faces charges of second-degree rape and sexual battery and could receive up to 40 years in prison if convicted. Police urge anyone with information to contact them or Caddo Crime Stoppers. Separately, Marcus Howard was arrested on charges of sexually assaulting a young boy.
