Scottish care home workers protest poor conditions, despite government wage pledges.

Care home workers in Scotland, feeling "abandoned" post-pandemic, will protest and meet with Health Secretary Neil Gray and Social Care Minister Maree Todd. A GMB Scotland survey of 800 workers shows 62% believe working conditions have not improved, 82% say staffing levels are unchanged, and 86% report no wage improvements. The Scottish Government pledged an extra £125 million to ensure care workers earn at least £12.60 an hour.
