Samsung co-CEO Han Jong-hee, 63, died on Tuesday due to cardiac arrest. He had been overseeing the company's consumer electronics and mobile devices division since 2022. His death comes as Samsung faces challenges in its semiconductor business, lagging behind competitors like TSMC and SK Hynix. Jun Young-hyun, the other co-CEO, will now serve as the sole CEO. No successor for Han has been named yet.
