Retired sailor wins £1 million in the National Lottery, plans to buy a mobility scooter and celebrate.

A 75-year-old retired sailor, Alan Wilcock, won £1 million from a National Lottery scratchcard. He plans to buy a new mobility scooter and celebrate with friends. Wilcock, who previously spent 15 years in the Merchant Navy, bought the scratchcard at a Co-op store in Bristol and discovered his win there after initially checking it at home.
