In 2024, Montana saw a 31% drop in fentanyl seizures but a 36% rise in drug-related felony arrests. The state seized over 275,000 fentanyl doses and increased methamphetamine, cocaine, and heroin seizures significantly. Meanwhile, a Missoula man was sentenced to 10 years for fentanyl and methamphetamine trafficking, and a joint operation in Oklahoma led to the arrest of three people for trafficking fentanyl and methamphetamine. Authorities are also investigating fentanyl overdoses in a Washington jail and continue efforts to combat drug trafficking nationwide.
