Metlen, a company investing in gallium production, aligns with the EU’s strategic efforts to secure critical raw materials essential for technology sectors. Gallium, used in semiconductors and solar panels, is now a focus of EU projects aimed at strengthening the raw materials supply chain. Greece is contributing to 47 such projects, particularly by providing gallium, to meet EU goals for raw material independence by 2030.
