Two rescue vehicles were dispatched, but one got stuck, and the other had mechanical issues. During the rescue attempt, gang members attacked, resulting in the officer's disappearance. Local media reports suggest the officer was killed, and videos show a body in a Kenyan uniform. This incident highlights the dangerous conditions faced by security forces in Haiti, where gang violence has escalated, leaving over a million people homeless. Kenya has deployed 800 officers to Haiti as part of the UN-backed mission to stabilize the country.
