Indian Home Minister claims end of separatism in Kashmir as two groups abandon the cause.

The Union Home Minister of India, Amit Shah, announced that separatism in Jammu and Kashmir has ended, after two Hurriyat Conference groups severed ties with separatism. Shah credits the Modi government's policies for this change, viewing it as a victory for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a unified India. The government has also banned two other separatist organizations under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
