Glen Eden Farms wins regional award for sustainable farming practices, advances to national competition.

Mark and Susannah Guscott of Glen Eden Farms in Ponatahi have won the Regional Supreme Award at the Greater Wellington Ballance Farm Environment Awards. Over 20 years, they have diversified their farm into sheep, beef, arable farming, carbon, and tourism, emphasizing environmental sustainability and biodiversity. Their practices include efficient water use, soil management, and community engagement, making significant environmental investments. They will compete for the national Gordon Stephenson Trophy, which could make them National Ambassadors for Sustainable Farming.
