Former Venezuelan soccer player Jerce Reyes was deported to El Salvador after US authorities accused his tattoos of indicating membership in the Tren de Aragua gang. Reyes's lawyer argues the tattoos, including one of a Real Madrid soccer ball with a crown, are unrelated to any gang and simply represent his love for soccer. Despite his claims of innocence and lack of criminal record, Reyes was deported under an 18th-century law invoked by the Trump administration.
