The editor-in-chief of The Atlantic, Jeffrey Goldberg, was accidentally added to a group chat with high-level Trump administration officials discussing military plans. The chat, on the Signal app, included Vice-President JD Vance and Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth, and discussed plans for an operation against the Iran-aligned Houthi rebels in Yemen. The incident has raised concerns about security protocols for sharing classified information. The National Security Council is reviewing the matter.
