A new Oceana report projects that by 2030, Coca-Cola's plastic use will reach 9.12 billion pounds annually, leading to 1.33 billion pounds of plastic waste in oceans and waterways each year. This makes Coca-Cola the top branded plastic polluter globally. The nonprofit suggests that using reusable packaging could significantly reduce waste, though Coca-Cola has dropped its previous goal of reaching 25% reusable packaging by 2030.
