Chef Margarita Forés posthumously wins Woodford Reserve Icon Award for her impact on Filipino cuisine.

Late Filipino chef Margarita Forés has been posthumously awarded the Woodford Reserve Icon Award 2025 by Asia's 50 Best Restaurants Academy for her transformative impact on culinary arts and for elevating Filipino cuisine. Forés, originally trained as an accountant, became a celebrated chef and was named Asia’s Best Female Chef in 2016. Her son accepted the award on her behalf during a ceremony in Seoul, South Korea.
