CBI searches ex-Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel's home in ₹6,000 crore betting scam probe.

The CBI conducted searches at the residence of former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel in connection with the alleged ₹6,000 crore Mahadev betting app scam. The CBI took over the investigation from the Economic Offences Wing of the Chhattisgarh Police, which had previously filed an FIR against Baghel and others. Baghel, who was scheduled to travel to Delhi for a meeting, has called the investigation politically motivated. The app is accused of facilitating illegal betting through a network of bank accounts. The Congress party has condemned the raids, accusing the BJP of using central agencies to target opposition leaders ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
