Chinese electric vehicle maker BYD plans to double its overseas sales to over 800,000 cars by 2025, up from 417,204 in 2024, aiming for growth in Britain, Latin America, and Southeast Asia. BYD will assemble vehicles locally to avoid tariffs and has introduced a fast-charging battery system doubling Tesla's charging capacity. The company reported 2024 revenue of $107 billion, surpassing Tesla. BYD also plans to expand its software team to offer affordable smart driving technologies globally by 2026-2027.
