Belgian authorities have confirmed that fugitive Indian businessman Mehul Choksi, wanted in India for a massive bank fraud case, is residing in Belgium. Choksi, accused of defrauding Punjab National Bank of over Rs14,000 crore, obtained residency in Belgium through his Belgian wife. Indian authorities have requested his extradition, while Belgian officials are monitoring the case closely but have not disclosed his exact location. Choksi is also a citizen of Antigua & Barbuda, which is cooperating with Indian authorities to ensure legal procedures are followed.
