Vietnam's High-level People’s Court postpones fraud trial for ill former CEO Trinh Van Quyet.

The appeal hearing for Trinh Van Quyet, former chairman of FLC Group accused of stock manipulation and fraud, has been postponed by the High-level People’s Court in Hanoi due to his severe health issues. Quyet was initially sentenced to 21 years in prison in August 2024. He and his family have paid over VNĐ600 billion in compensation. The court is considering requests to try Quyet and other defendants in absentia due to health reasons.
